By Bus
Bargoed has comprehensive bus services to many parts of the county borough. The provision of a new bus station is one of the main features of the Greater Bargoed Community Regeneration Scheme. This purpose built bus station will replace the current facility at Hanbury Square and will be located in the north of the town. It is currently under construction above the new railway tunnel and adjacent to the new Station Road roundabout. On completion of the new bus station, there are proposals for the creation of a public square at the site of the old bus station at Hanbury Square.
With a new location adjacent to the railway station, passenger interchange between buses and trains will be greatly improved.
