Parking
The proposals for the 2.5 hectare retail plateau, in the centre of Bargoed, includes provision for accessible new parking facilities for the town, alongside improved pedestrian and cycle links. The Park & Ride Scheme will accommodate additional commuter parking and 90 car parking spaces are now available.
Hanbury Road car park
The free Hanbury Road Car Park has spectacular views of the Greater Bargoed Community Regeneration Scheme, including the new road, Angel Way and its associated 120 m Rhymney River Bridge and the Bargoed Newydd Viaduct and Commercial Street Link Road. The Hanbury Road Car Park is also the prime location for community events such as the Christmas Fun Day and the free outdoor cinema, the Big Screen.
