It is with great pleasure that I can announced that the Town Council for a third year running have reduced their annual precept. This is money that comes from you the Council Tax payer via Caerphilly County Borough Council. As a Town Council we were very keen to reduce this especially so in the current economic climate. We are pleased to say that we have been able to reduce our annual budget by 1.69% (£1000). Therefore the total budget for the Town Council for 2011/12 will be £58,500. We are committed to ensuring value for money and spending wisely. Since 2007 this is a decrease by just under 17%.

The Bargoed Town Council proudly present a 'St Davids Day Concert' in aid of the Mayors Charity on Thursday 1st March at Heolddu Comprehensive School, Bargoed. The Cambrian Male Voice Choir, Cefn Hengoed Ladies Choir, Oakdale Silver Band and Heolddu Comprehensive School Choir will all perform. Tickets are just £4 and available from Heolddu Comprehensive School during term time February onwards.
