Welcome and thank you for visiting our website, we hope you find it informative and of interest. Should you have any suggestion for the page then please get in touch with our Clerk, Laura, who will be happy to discuss new ideas, this page is designed to inform you on the activities of the Council.

It is with great pleasure that I can announced that the Town Council for a third year running have reduced their annual precept. This is money that comes from you the Council Tax payer via Caerphilly County Borough Council. As a Town Council we were very keen to reduce this especially so in the current economic climate. We are pleased to say that we have been able to reduce our annual budget by 1.69% (£1000). Therefore the total budget for the Town Council for 2011/12 will be £58,500. We are committed to ensuring value for money and spending wisely. Since 2007 this is a decrease by just under 17%.

Grants

The Town Council hold a pot of money that can be used to support local voluntary organisations*.

The Council grants money to individual organisations within the community on the basis that the grant is of direct benefit to the community. If you belong to a voluntary group and need financial support please fill in the form (pdf 45k) and return to the Town Clerk with a recent financial statement.
