The Big Cheese is fast approaching with lots of fun events and activities being organised to make the festival one to remember. Why not become part of the event and join in the annual Great Cheese Race. Children and adults are invited to take part in the fun run around a special course in and around the grounds of the magnificent castle with fancy dress just adding to the laughter and enjoyment. (Fancy dress is not compulsory)
Every year teams line up to participate in the race and join in with the opening celebrations for the Big Cheese Festival and now its your turn. All you have to do is create a team of 4 people to come along on Friday 23rd July for 6.00pm. Walk, jog or run - at the end of the day it's just for fun!
Just complete and return the application form (pdf 45k) if you are interested and we will be in touch.
- Prizes will be awarded for the best fancy dressed team and to the race winners.
- Adult team members must be aged 16 or over, junior entrants must be aged between 8 and 15. All entrants must be fit enough to enter the race.
