If your idea of fun is running around a castle carrying a lump of cheese while in fancy dress, then now is the time to sign up for this year's Great Cheese Race in Caerphilly.
Fun-loving adults and children from across Caerphilly county borough are encouraged to enter this year's race which will take place at Caerphilly Castle on on Friday 23 July at 6.30pm on Crescent Road at the rear of the castle.
The Great Cheese Race involves teams of 4 people racing around a special course in and around the grounds of the magnificent castle. The run will be in a relay format with each member of the team running half a lap of the circuit and passing on the truckle of cheese to the next person.
Prizes will be awarded for the best fancy dressed team and to the race winners. (Fancy dress is not compulsory)
If you would like to enter a team into the race please contact Tony Wallis (Sports Development) on 01443 866716 for details.
