VISITOR INFORMATION

Admission charge - This is a FREE event.

On site facilities

Toilets, baby-changing facilities, breastfeeding area, food and drink refreshments, licensed bar, information centre.

Big Cheese Official Merchandise can be purchased at the event site in front of the on-site information centre and in Caerphilly Visitor Centre.

There are two designated picnic areas on the event site for you to relax with your blankets and hampers and take in the event atmosphere.

Off site facilities

Toilets (Caerphilly Visitor Centre), cash machines, pubs, restaurants, shopping centre. All within 5 minutes walk of the event site.

Disabled facilities

Access to the site is good from all entrances, ground conditions are flat with a few uneven areas. A limited wheelchair hire service is available at the charity stalls. All park and ride buses are equipped with low floor access and a number have wheelchair lifts.
A viewing area in front of the main music stage will be barriered off for use by disabled visitors.

Car parking

In order to avoid congestion at this year's Big Cheese event, please use the park and ride scheme in operation.

On Friday 23rd July, the Park and Ride scheme will operate from St.Ilan School (Overflow Park and Ride). On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th July, the Park and Ride will operate from St.Cenydd School (Main Park and Ride) and St. Ilan School.

For both car parks follow the temporary signs from the A470, A469 and A468.

Main Park and Ride at St.Cenydd School has a fee of £2.00
Overflow Park and Ride at St.Ilan School has a fee of £4.00

Coach parking

The town's main coach park is located off Crescent Road, 100 yards from the site of The Big Cheese and a dedicated overflow coach park will be reserved within The Big Cheese Park and Ride scheme located at St.Ilan School and St.Cenydd School. Follow the temporary signs from the A470, A469 and A468. There is no charge at either park and ride or Crescent Road car park for coaches.
