JOSIE LONG – BE HONORABLE

Josie Long

Josie Long is unashamedly idealistic but totally confused as to how to try and change the world.

This is a show about how what you do each day matters. It's also about talking to strangers, grassroots political activism and finding modern heroes. It also quite prominently features a sort-of lecture about a man who takes photographs of his breakfast each morning.
There will be all kinds of silly things. Are you up for that? Of course you are, you're a cool looking bunch of dudes, come along! Often described as a unique voice in the business, Josie is one of the most respected comedians of her generation.
She creates a buzz with her obsessive and ridiculous stories, leaving audiences smitten with her innocent wonder and loveable madness.

Tickets £10

ELIS JAMES: DAYTRIPPER

Elis James

From Radio One Wales's 'BBC Introducing', BBC 6Music and BBC Radio Wales's 'Rhod Gilbert Show'

Wales's hottest young comedian, Elis James, has taken the Edinburgh Fringe by storm for the last two years. Now, he comes to Blackwood as part of a limited run of strictly Wales-only dates. Catch him now, before he's huge!

"creating the sort of word-of-mouth recommendations that much more experienced comics would kill their mothers for" The Scotsman
"of all the acts at this year's Festival, you'd be hard pushed to find one with more charm or natural charisma ... a complete joy" **** TimeOut
"a natural, absorbing wit ... one to watch" **** Fest
"one of the most promising emerging acts around ... the anecdotes and observations flow freely, with an endearing wit and a fine sense of timing and pace" Chortle
"engagingly honest ... a charming figure with sharp quipping that puts James firmly on the list of ones to watch" The List
