This year, Bargoed will host a traditional on-street Christmas Market with local craft, charity and seasonal food stalls. The event will include various street entertainment, a children’s activity marquee and Santa’s Grotto.
The amazing Open Air Ice Rink will be returning to Bargoed for FOUR days in total, a wonderful addition to the market. Set next to St. Gwladys Church, the ice rink can only help create a fantastic festive feeling.
A fireworks display will conclude the event at Hanbury Road Car Park.

Entertainment Arena
A variety of performers will display their talents offering fun for all the family. From Punch and Judy to various free activity workshops.

The town centre will be open as usual. There is a fantastic selection of shops within the town centre along with high quality cafes and public houses for visitors to have a bite to eat or a relaxing drink. Our market stalls will also offer a range of fantastic gifts.

Road Closure
Upper High Street will be closed from 6.00am on Saturday 17th December until 7pm Saturday 17th December and buses will be diverted as follows:
C18 Bargoed - Gilfach Estate - Bargoed
X38 Bargoed - Gilfach Estate - Nelson - Pontypridd
Buses will operate via Wood Street, Ruth Street and Henry Street and will not serve Capel Street or The Plasnewydd bus stops.
Parking
A large section of St Gwladys Car Park will be closed from Friday 9th to Wednesday 21st December. Emporium Car Park will be close all day on 17th December.
All other car parks in and around the town centre will remain open. Each car park has a designated number of spaces for blue badge holders.
Disabled access
Access to the site is good with all events taking place on hard standing surfaces.
