Welcome to the Caerphilly County Borough Christmas website - festive pages of exciting events, useful information and holiday arrangements for council facilities including leisure centres and libraries, plus when your refuse collections will take place over the festive period.

For the first time this year the main road in Caerphilly town centre will close as Wales' largest Christmas and medieval market comes to town. The popular ‘River of Light’ Lantern Parade also returns with a series of special workshops taking place in the run up to the event. Other events taking place across the county borough include a Santa’s Grotto at Cwmcarn Forest Visitor centre, various festive activities at Llancaiach Fawr and much much more.

Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum, I can smell festive fun! The ever-popular Owen Money Theatre Company return to Blackwood Miners’ Institute this Christmas with more festive fun filled entertainment for all the family! Mike Doyle stars as the Jack in this magical adventure story, which has entertained generations of families. Magic beans, a castle in the clouds, a golden hen, a singing harp and a Giant are all the makings of an exciting panto! Expect laughter, musical numbers, and of course masses of audience participation that keeps audiences coming back for more!
