Christmas in Caerphilly

2010

2010 Review

The 2010 Medieval Fayre attracted around 10,000 visitors to Caerphilly over the weekend, with Caerphilly Castle having nearly 8,000 entries recorded. For the second year running, the main high street that runs through the town was closed to traffic, allowing traders to line the streets as well as the Twyn car park, Twyn Community Centre, Caerphilly Visitor Centre and castle grounds. Cookery demonstrations, entertainers, a farmers market, a continental market and funfair rides all formed a truly memorable weekend of family fun.

Coaches and visitors from near and far descended on the town making 2010 our biggest and best Christmas Medieval Fayre so far. With 2011 already looking to supersede, with over 120 traders attending the event, it is a Christmas event that cannot be missed!

Just a note to thank you for the weekend arrangements. The Garlic Farm had a very successful couple of days. It was a very nice show which we was pleased to attend.

Please can I have dates for the Big Cheese & Christmas Market 2010, ready to go into my day tour brochure, or any other events you are doing, I was very impressed with the way I was treated when I rang up about my coach party that came to the Christmas market, nothing was too much trouble.
