Welcome to the Junior Rangers page
Ever wanted to be a Countryside Ranger and join in all the cool things that rangers do every day?
Well guess what!? Now you can, and all you need to do to be a part of all the fun is join the Junior Rangers, and better still, it’s all free!
As a Junior Ranger, some of the things you’ll do are: explore the countryside and learn about wildlife, enjoy fun activities and play games, be creative with arts and crafts, build fires and learn outdoor ranger skills with hand tools. Plus we even have an annual summer trip to somewhere exciting like Longleat or CAT!
If you think you’ve got what it takes to be a Junior Ranger, and want to find out all the great things we will be doing throughout the year check out our Calendar for 2008 (pdf 106k). So far this year, we’ve been ‘Springwatching’, made a willow tunnel for our Junior Ranger Nature Garden, learned some handy bushcraft survival skills and ran around lots at Biodiversity Bootcamp! We also just enjoyed our excellent summer trip to CAT (Centre for Alternative Technology) in beautiful Machynlleth.
So come on… Join the fun, become a Junior Ranger!
