RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

Saturday 26th January 2008

Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Countryside and Landscape will be holding their very popular Big Garden Birdwatch again this January.

The event will take place on Saturday 26th January 2008 from 11am to 4pm at Parc Cwm Darran in Deri, Bargoed.

The event will follow the guidelines of the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch weekend with all sightings of our feathered friends being recorded.

This year there will be a chance to join in on a guided walk around the park spotting woodland and wetland birds. There will also be an opportunity to visit our temporary hide located high above the park. Each walk will be limited to 10 places so arrive early to avoid disappointment.

There will be plenty of activities at the park’s visitor centre, which will include bird box making, bird feeder making, children’s crafts, and a display of birds of prey. Hot food will be available from a local producer using locally reared meats.
