Watch out, watch out Spring is about

Get stuck in with Springwatch 2008

Every year thousands of people from across the UK take part in Springwatch, helping to create a record of over 2 million dates of seasonal change since the 1600’s. The woodland trust and the UK Phenology Network run springwatch, and the results help to better understand the effects that climate change is having on the UK’s wildlife.

It’s easy to get involved and you don’t have to be an expert either, all you need is to keep your eyes open as you walk around the countryside, parks and your gardens, and look for the signs of spring.

The springwatch website has all you need to get started (from what to look out for and how to record your results), it’s free to join in, and you even get that ‘warm fuzzy feeling’ knowing that your spring findings will be used to help conservationists and scientists look out for our wildlife.
