Guided Walks

Whether it is a short stroll or a five-mile hike, walking is one of the best ways to explore your local countryside and to get some free healthy exercise. Our guided walks are intended to help you get out and discover the superb countryside and heritage of the county borough. Experienced ramblers, guest experts and our own countryside Rangers lead the walks.

· We won’t charge you for our walks. All walks organized by the
· Countryside and Landscape Service are free.
· There will always be somebody at the start to greet you.
· We will always do the walk. If the weather is bad or a path
· becomes closed we may have to change the route.
· You can bring a dog but it must be kept on a lead. We will
· expect you to clear up any mess!
· You need to wear strong, sensible footwear and bring a
· waterproof jacket on all our walks.

See our Events page for a full list of guided walks this Spring/Summer.

If you think your group could lead an interesting walk for us or you have an idea about different sorts of walks we could lead, please contact us.
