Household Survey results 2017

Most residents across the Caerphilly county borough are happy with the services provided by the council, according to the findings of the council’s resident satisfaction survey.

The Household Survey, carried out biennially, is designed to gather feedback on the council and its services. The findings from the 2017 survey have been analysed and the feedback received has been very positive across a range of service areas.

The four page Household Survey was included in Newsline and posted to all homes across the county borough as well as being available on the Caerphilly Council Website. There was also a £250 prize draw to encourage as many people as possible to take part and the lucky recipient was Tim Jarrett from Bargoed. 

Overall, 2774 completed surveys were returned. 

The headline statistic was that 74% of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with the overall service provided by the Council.  Key areas that generated the highest levels of satisfaction include refuse and recycling, , street lighting, libraries, country parks and the local bus service. 

Cllr Dave Poole, Leader of council said, “Feedback from residents is very important to us as we need people’s views to help us shape our services in the future.  We are very encouraged by the positive feedback we have received following the Household Survey and I would like to thank everyone who took part.”

How we will use your information

The information you provide will be used by Caerphilly county borough council’s Communication Unit. The views submitted by all respondents will be retained for 4 years and will be collated and used to produce a summary report. The summary report will be used to support the evaluation and remodelling of services where needed and may be published by Caerphilly county borough council.

Survey Results 2015

Caerphilly County Borough Council has received very positive feedback from local residents about the quality of the services in the 2015 Household Survey.

Respondents were asked their views on a wide range of frontline services, such as recycling, highways, community safety, leisure services and much more. A total of 1,258 responses to the survey were received – through a combination of the Council’s newsletter Newsline and an online questionnaire.Taking everything into account, 78% of respondents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the overall service provided by the council.

Services which generated high levels of satisfaction included local bus services, libraries, parks and play areas, refuse and recycling services, sports and leisure centres, street lighting and tourist attractions.
