Increase in Hackney Carriage (Taxi) Fares consultation

The Licensing Authority is commencing a statutory 14 day consultation exercise concerning prospective Hackney Carriage (Taxi) fare increases in the Borough.
The Licensing Authority has received representations from licensed Hackney Carriage proprietors in the borough, concerning an increase in Hackney Carriage Fares. The last fare increase in Caerphilly took place 8 years ago in August 2010.
Members of the public have an opportunity to comment on the proposals which will result in the following increases if approved (see table below).
Any written objections to the proposals will be considered by the council. Objections concerning the proposals can be submitted to licensing@caerphilly.gov.uk or to the Licensing Section, Penallta House, Tredomen Park, Ystrad Mynach, Hengoed, CF82 7PG.
