Welsh superstars attend primary school fun
days
18.08.2005
Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th August saw the second year of Primary
Netball Fun Days. A total of 34 players (boys and girls) attended
each day that was lead by three qualified and extremely enthusiastic
Level 1 coaches. The day consisted of fun activities with
a netball theme and tournament situations.
Certificates were awarded on both days for ‘Most Improved
Player’, ‘Fair Play Award’ and the ‘Coaches
Award’ for the player who worked hard and showed great
potential. Every child was given a raffle ticket on registering
and at the end of the first day Billy Bowers (Wales Captain)
came in and raffled off one of her own training shirts and
two signed Welsh tops. Every child received a Sports Development
water bottle and either a photograph of a Welsh Player or
a poster. On the second day Sara Hale (Welsh Goal Defence)
came in to sign some autographs and present the certificates.
Having both these players giving up their valuable time was
fantastic for these young players. Not only did they get to
meet players that have reached the highest level in netball
but it also provided our youngsters with some inspiration
to reach high and achieve their goals.
