Take a break in the Leisure Lounge

Visitors to Caerphilly Leisure Centre can now relax and unwind after a hard workout in the centre’s newly refurbished cafe area.

The popular leisure centre has re-launched its cafe facilities to create a more modern and relaxed atmosphere for customers. The ‘Leisure Lounge’ opened its doors at the end of October and since then the café staff have been busy serving a variety of hot drinks, including speciality coffees from around the world.

A variety of hot and cold foods, such as sandwiches, baked potatoes and salads, are also available from the café. There is also a separate menu for children.

Cllr David Hardacre, Cabinet Member for Education and Leisure, recently visited the Leisure Lounge to enjoy a coffee with centre manager John Poyner.

Cllr Hardacre said, “The improvements to the café have made all the difference to the leisure centre. The new Leisure Lounge is a modern facility on par with other cafés in the area. It’s a place where local residents can enjoy some food or a hot drink after their workout.”
