Crèche provides peace of mind for active parents

If you fancy a work out but have nowhere to leave your children, Caerphilly Leisure Centre has the solution for you. The centre runs a crèche service Monday to Thursday between 9:15am - 1:00pm. The ‘Clowning Around Crèche’ provides the following:

• A stimulating environment for children to play in
• Qualified staff
• Appropriate activities for various ages
• Snack time

The crèche is open for children aged 12 weeks - 5years.

There is a lot going on a Caerphilly Leisure Centre this winter. The centre has a variety of classes on offer throughout the week. ‘Sculpt and Tone’ is a popular class which combines light aerobics and toning work using a mix of body bars and light hand weights. This class, which is taught to funky upbeat music, takes place on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm - 7:00pm and Friday nights between 5:45pm - 6:30pm.

If you fancy something more relaxing after a long week’s work then ‘Pilates’ (Fridays 6:30pm - 7:30pm) might be the class for you. This session works your abdominals and lower back to improve your postural awareness, using exercises that lengthens, strengthens and tones your muscles.

For the kids, why not try the new ‘Introduction to Dance’ class on Wednesday nights, Kids Street Dance on Thursdays evenings or Hip Hop Funk on Mondays. Saturday Activate is also popular class amongst the little ones. This fun session (2:00pm - 5:00pm) includes supervised arts, crafts, sports and games for children aged 8 - 12. An optional free swim is available for the last hour of this class.
