Welcome to our Caerphilly Library Service Web Pages. By joining your local library, you have access to a network of 19 libraries, 3 mobile libraries, books, videos, CDs, DVD's and a growing range of computer based information services. Our libraries have over 190 computers and free high-speed access to the Internet.

Library catalogue
This online facility allows you to search for library books and if you are a library member you can also renew and reserve books from the comfort of your own home.
Renew a library book
If you have an item on loan from the library and would like to renew the loan, you can do this provided that it has not been reserved by someone else. You can do this in person at the library, over the telephone or online at home.
Reserve a library book
If you find a book you are interested in reading you can reserve it at one of our libraries. You can do this in person at the library, over the telephone or online at home.
Library fees and charges
Although it's free to join, borrow books and use our computers we do charge for some services such as reserving items, hiring computer games and overdue items.
Computers and learning in libraries
We provide free access to computers and Broadband Internet in all our libraries.

Your local library offers a wide range of services for children and young people of all ages.
Mobile Library Service
Communities that are not within two miles of a static library receive monthly visits from our Mobile Library Service.

Book Prescription Wales
Book Prescription Wales is a scheme which gives general practitioners (GPs), practice counsellors and members of community mental health teams the option of prescribing professionally selected self-help books on a range of topics.
Libraries - local history resources
All our libraries can help you with local history enquiries, and all but the smallest have local history collections consisting of books, newspaper articles and photographs available for you to browse.

Schools Library Service
Our award winning Schools Library Service is a specialist service, which supports literacy initiatives and all aspects of school library development free of charge to all Local Education Authority schools in the Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent County Boroughs.
