Education & LearningAny visit to Llancaiach Fawr Manor is entertaining but what may not be immediately obvious is that it is also a learning experience - for all ages. We are proud holders of the Sandford Award for Excellence in Heritage Education in recognition of our work with schools across the country.
For schools and colleges we offer a range of formal education and learning opportunities at all Key Stages as well as specialist vocational modules including Welsh Bacc and Leisure, Tourism and Business studies. Student teacher visits and INSET days are also available. Our programme is under continuous development to reflect changes in education policy and the content of the National Curriculum for History and also to accommodate differing learning styles. We offer pre- and post visit support including the Handling Collection Loan service and a range of educational resources to facilitate project work. A visit to Llancaiach also offers the opportunity to link in with other curriculum strands such as English, Science, Art and Mathematics.
