Local Housing Market Assessment
The Council is currently in the process of undertaking a new Local Housing Market Assessment, which will replace the existing assessment shown below. This work is expected to be completed by the end of 2022 and the new assessment will be uploaded onto this web page following approval by Council.
The local housing market assessment has been prepared in accordance with guidance issued by Welsh Government and the Welsh Local Government Association.
The assessment provides a robust and comprehensive analysis of housing need throughout the borough. The analysis has been undertaken at a ward, housing market area and borough level. The assessment provides the Council with a sound evidence base for the preparation of the local development plan, the local housing strategy and associated policies and plans.
