Education

A key area for the Parks Service is our work with schools. Our aim is to promote the use of parks and open spaces as outdoor classrooms for wildlife, heritage and environmental education.

Dave Beveridge, our Urban Environment Awareness Coordinator who is based in Morgan Jones Park, offers curriculum based activities for pupils and advice for teachers designed to maximise children’s understanding and enjoyment of their natural environment.  Site visits are available by arrangement throughout term time at a park or open space close to your school. For further information contact Parks Services.
