Spring into action!

Spring is here and green fingered residents across the Caerphilly county borough are being encouraged to show off their gardening skills by taking part in this year's Caerphilly county borough In Bloom competition.

The popular annual event is organised by Caerphilly county borough council to recognise the colourful efforts that are made each year by local people to create wonderful floral displays that help brighten up the whole area.

The competition is open to individuals, commercial premises, schools and even whole streets within the county borough.

Categories include:

  • Class 1 - Domestic dwellings: best window box or hanging basket, best front garden/ best rear garden, first time entry
  • Class 2 - Best street / cul de sac
  • Class 3 - High Street Premises
  • Class 4 - Pubs, clubs, hotels and guest houses
  • Class 5 - Schools
  • Class 6 - Allotments
  • Class 7 - Wildlife Garden

The competition is open to anyone living within the county borough.All entries must be received by 1st July. Enter online via the Parklife website or call 01495 235463 for an entry form.
