Following each partner Council approving Viridor as the Preferred Bidder for the 25 year contract, the Welsh Government has now approved the Final Business Case to deliver an environmentally sustainable waste management solution for the partnership.
The contract with Viridor has now been signed and the contract will begin on April 1st 2016.

All of the companies that were shortlisted for the Project, following the Pre-Qualification stage of the procurement, proposed modern incineration facilities. This technology is safe, environmentally sustainable as well as value for money. The technology is explained through the following link: Energy from Waste.
