They have also visited a total of 2,358 ‘hotspot’ locations and attended a total of 104 community meetings.
Over the same period, our mobile CCTV vehicles were deployed a total of 57 times, which complements the work of our CCTV operators who monitor over 150 cameras throughout the county borough 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The recent Household Survey (2009) also reported that during the day, 87% of residents report feeling safe when out and about in the county borough.

We are a team of public bodies and volunteers who work together to make your community safer.
Our activities and actions are directed towards:
This website provides you with some detail about the activities that we will be concentrating on this year. Following a reduction of crime across the Caerphilly County Borough of 22.8%, the Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership has been selected as one of the Home Office’s pioneer areas for the ‘Justice Seen, Justice Done’ initiative.
This initiative will build on our past partnership successes and will ensure that we and our partners are more useable and accessible to our communities.
There is lots of useful information on the site. You will find data that relates to crime issues and trends in your area, as well as details about how you can be involved in improving the quality of life in your neighbourhood.
We are constantly developing and improving our services, so please feel free to feedback how we can improve this website or suggest other ways that you would like us to communicate with you.
As Chair of the Partnership, I look forward to delivering action to make the communities safer over the next three years, and to your continued support and commitment.
