Supporting Social Enterprises in Caerphilly County Borough
The purpose of the Community Economic Development Programme is to build sustainable and vibrant communities through the development of community economic activity and social enterprises. The funding is aimed at supporting and developing sustainability within the third sector, and reducing their reliance upon grant support.
Funding is available to a wide range of organisations that have ambitions to develop into economically sustainable organisations within the third sector, such as voluntary and community organisations, charities, social enterprises, co-operatives and mutual's.
The first stage of the application process is to complete an Expression of Interest form available from Business Enterprise Support, Caerphilly County Borough Council, Tredomen Business and Technology Centre, Tredomen Park, Ystrad Mynach, CF82 7FN.
There are four funding options available:
- Option A – Revenue fund of up to £25,000 (up to 100% of total project costs)
- Option B – Revenue fund of up to £80,000 over three years (tapered intervention where possible e.g. Year 1 – up to 100%, Year 2 – up to 75%, Year 3 – up to 50%)
- Option C – Capital fund of up to £50,000 (up to 100% of total project costs)
- Option D – Capital fund of up to £100,000 (up to 50% of total project costs, can be raised to 75% in very exceptional circumstances)
Funding applications are assessed up to three times per year, subject to the availability of resources.
