The council owns a significant portfolio of industrial premises – 35,000 sq. m. (377,000 sq. ft.). It ranges from small business workshops less than 50 sq. m. (538.2 sq. ft.) through to industrial units suitable for large manufacturing processes up to 5,000 sq. m. (53,820 sq. ft.) The council's portfolio of accommodation has also been increased as the demand for this type of property has risen over the past few years.
The property register availability register is available free of charge and includes details of all industrial and office premises available throughout the county borough – in both private and public ownership. A land register is also available.
The register includes details of size, including eaves height (if applicable) and tenure – whether freehold or leasehold. An outline description and photograph of the premises is also included and guideline terms and price - and also whether the property is currently under offer.
Where properties are listed as being in private ownership, the contact details of the agency or owner dealing with the premises are included.
