Alley gating

In certain locations closing off alley ways and other minor highways commonly known as "alley gating" can be a useful way of preventing anti social behaviour and reducing crime. This involves erecting lockable gates at the end of the alley way to prevent or restrict access. Alley gating can assist in reducing levels of crime and anti-social behaviour and helps to reassure the community.
