You can reserve books and other items at any of the libraries in the county borough.
To reserve an item you will need to tell us the name of the author, title, publisher and, if possible, the ISBN (International Standard Book Number).
You can reserve an item in person during one of your visits or by calling your local library. Also, if you are a member of the library you can reserve a book online.
To reserve a library book online you will need to log into your account using your library card number and password. If you have not asked for a password, the default is set to your date of birth using the format dd/mm/yyyy.
Once you have logged into your account, search for the item you require using the library catalogue quick search, select the item you wish to reserve and click on the *Reserve* button on the left hand side. You will be asked which library you want to collect the item from before clicking on Make Reservation.
If you have provided us with an email address when you signed up for a library card and ticked email as your preferred way of being contacted, you will be sent an email to confirm your request. You can check or add an email address in My personal information area on your account.
When your item(s) become available for collection you will be contacted by telephone.
If you change your mind, you can cancel your request using the User Activities section of the My Account page or contact your local library.
