If we carry out a repair to your council home and there is clear evidence that the defect or damage was caused as a result of negligence, misuse, or wilful damage, we may send you a bill for the cost of the repair work. This is known as a rechargeable repair.
We may also recharge you in the following situations:
- If you call us out on an emergency repair which turns out not to be as urgent as you have stated
- If you move out and leave the property in a poor condition
- If you carry out alterations to your property that do not meet our standards.
