We provide a variety of services for adults and older people who need support to maintain or if necessary regain the skills to live as full and independent a life as possible.

Needs assessment for adults >>

To help us understand how we may be able to help you, we must carry out an assessment of need. This helps us decide what your needs are and how quickly we should attend to them. We also provide information and advice, even if we decide you don't need a service.

Protection of vulnerable adults (POVA) >>

We are committed to ensuring that vulnerable adults are protected from abuse and neglect and we will take immediate action where necessary to keep vulnerable adults safe from harm.

Help to live at home >>

Many people need just that extra bit of help to live independently such as help with personal care or home adaptations.

Caerphilly Social Services will provide care following an assessment of your needs. However there are many other organisations that provide a whole range of care services in your home or in accommodation, with support.

Learning disabilities >>

We provide a range of services for people living in the county borough who have a learning disability such as accommodation services and daytime opportunity services.

Finance and funding >>

You are able to access and gain information, advice and assessments of what help you and your carer may need free of charge. However, if you are assessed as needing services, you may be asked to contribute towards the cost.

Drug and alcohol service >>

We provide a service for people affected by illegal drugs and/or prescribed drugs.

South East Wales Adult Placement / Shared Lives Scheme >>

This scheme offers a service for vulnerable adults with adult placement carers living in their local area.

Hospital discharge >>

If you need ongoing care and support after your discharge, we will assess your needs so that any support or care services you need for help to live at home can be arranged before you leave hospital.

Mental health services >>

We work together with the Aneurin Bevan Health Board to provide a range of services for people with mental illness.

Sensory impairment >>

We provide needs assessments for Adults age 18 + people who have a visual impairment, have a hearing loss or are Deaf who, as a result, find it difficult to carry out normal daily tasks in the home.
