Contacting your councillor

Telephone, email and post

An important part of a councillor's role is to represent their local constituents in matters of concern. Councillors can work with individuals and groups to give advice and support to resolve problems or issues of local concern regardless of whether the council is responsible for the delivery of a service. Councillors represent all of the people in their communities, not just the ones who voted for them.

Councillors can be contacted by telephone, post or email. Full contact details can be located by using our Find Your Councillor search facility, where you can search for your councillor by name, ward or political party.

If you need any assistance in contacting your councillor, officers in Democratic Services will be happy to help you.
