Fostering

Being a foster carer is extremely rewarding. Children need to be cared for so that as they grow up they can lead full and happy lives. We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you are able to care for children over of ten years of age.

If you want to help Caerphilly County Borough Council to make a difference this website should help you.

Types of foster care placements

Fostering case studies
We have a number of carers living all over the county borough, all with varying experience and skills. They become foster carers for a variety of reasons.
Children awaiting placement
The majority of the children who need families are over the age of ten, and therefore we are currently prioritising enquiries from people who can to look after older children.
Fostering fees and allowances
All foster carers receive a payment to help them care financially for a child placed with them.
