Sports and recreation

We are committed to the provision and development of sport and recreation. Within the borough there are eleven leisure centres, eight golf courses, five country parks, as well as facilities in our parks and green spaces.

There are a number of excellent walking trails throughout the county borough as well as other guided and healthy walk for beginners.
