If you operate a business you are liable for a charge for the collection and disposal of your trade waste. There are a number of private companies who can offer this service; however, we offer competitive rates for collection and supply of either bags or large wheeled bins (up to 1100 litres.)
Prices shown are valid from 1 April 2013 and include collection and disposal.
Arranging collection
If you would like to arrange for us to collect your trade waste, we ask you to sign an annual contract. Contracts are available for various receptacle sizes as follows:
- 240 litre container costs £340.00 per year or £170.00 for 6 months
- 360 litre container costs £477.00 per year or £238.50 for 6 months
- 660 litre container costs £790.00 per year or £395.00 for 6 months
- 1100 litre container costs £1197.00 per year or £598.50 for 6 months
All containers will be delivered and an invoice issued. Invoices are issued twice annually in April and October and charged six months in advance.

For small business that do not require a trade bin, a roll of trade sacks can be purchased from any of our cash offices at a cost of £85.27 for a roll of 25.
Terminating the contract
In order to terminate a commercial waste contract, you must have used the service for a minimum of 12 months and provide at least 1 months notice.

Replacement trade bins
If your trade bin has been lost, stolen or damaged, please let us know and we will arrange a replacement.
The cost of replacement trade bins or lids are as follows:
- 240 litre costs £38.60 (lid only £13.39)
- 360 litre costs £67.11 (lid only £13.39)
- 660 litre costs £190.68 (lid only £51.43)
- 1100 litre costs £242.05 (lid only £51.43)
Please note that there will be no VAT added to the commercial waste charges from April 2011.

Recycling
The free fortnightly collection of recycling has now stopped.
To dispose of cardboard, customers will now need to purchase a permit from one of our cash offices and take the cardboard to the civic amenity site at Aberbargoed, Penallta or Full Moon in Crosskeys. The cost of the permit is as follows:
- Up to 10 boxes filled with flat packed cardboard - £5.00
- 11-25 boxes filled with flat packed cardboard - £8.00
To dispose of cans, glass, and plastic bottles, customer have to pay £170.00 per annum for a 240 litre container.
