Caerphilly Children and Young People's Plan 2011-2014

Cover of Children and Young People's Plan 2011-14

The Caerphilly Children and Young People's Plan is a strategic statement of intent and includes priorities for children and young people's services in Caerphilly county borough for the next 3 years. The scope of our Plan extends across services for children and young people from pre-birth to 25 years of age. It sets out the vision and strategic direction of the CYP Partnership, our aspirations and how we will work together in partnership to meet the identified Priority Outcomes for 2011 – 2014.

The priorities of our Plan are stated as Priority Outcomes and were developed through extensive consultation with children, young people, families, and partners. We undertook an analysis of a Needs Assessment, and the achievements of the CYP Partnership Board partners from the 2008 – 2011 CYP Plan. The feedback from children, young people and their families is embedded within the Priority Outcomes of our Plan.

In order to make the most impact over the next 3 years it was agreed to focus on 3 key Priority Outcomes. These are that families are supported and children and young people are safe, all children and young people have improved work related skills and that children and young people are as healthy as possible.

These are underpinned by the 4th Priority Outcome which is the foundation on which our Plan is set, that all children and young people are listened to and treated with respect. All of these are overarched by the 5th Priority Outcome that all children and young people are not disadvantaged by poverty.
