Our award winning Schools Library Service is a specialist service, which supports literacy initiatives and all aspects of school library development free of charge to all Local Education Authority schools in the Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent County Boroughs.
The library contains over 200,000 resources, including books, DVDs, audio-cassettes and books on CD. Teachers may call in to select their own resources, or, if preferred, may request items to be delivered to their schools.
We also provide an advisory/training service and are happy to visit schools to advise you a range of subjects including school library development, literacy support, preparing for inspection, organization and classification of stock.

Schools Library Service Catalogue
The library contains over 195,000 resources, including books, DVDs, audio-cassettes and books on CD. You can search our Online Catalogue to see if we have your items in stock.
This service allows you to:-
- Search for specific items that the Schools Library Service has in stock
- Find titles by the same author
- Browse if you are interested in a particular subject
- See which copies are available to borrow

Project loans
The project loan service provides individual teachers with specially selected resources to support the National Curriculum.
