Under section 18C(1) of the Representation of the People Act 1983 the local authority has a duty to review their UK Parliamentary Polling Districts and Polling Places every four years.
Therefore, the council carried out a polling review, which commenced on 1 August 2011. Local political parties, councillors and other interested parties were consulted and we also welcomed views from electors within Caerphilly county borough.
The results of the review showed that whilst the majority of stations are satisfactory there were some that could be improved. In response we have been able to make some changes and attach a document containing the new polling station arrangements.
