There are six household waste recycling centres throughout the county borough. These are supervised facilities where you can dispose of a variety of household waste, including bulky items such as furniture, tyres, timber, fridges and green garden waste.

We also have 22 mini recycling sites located throughout the borough. Mini recycling sites are unsupervised facilities for the disposal and recycling of glass, paper, plastic, metal and clothes.

Opening times
Summer (1 April to 30 September) 9am - 6pm, 7 days a week
Winter (1 October to 31 March) 9am - 4.30pm, 7 days a week
Centres are open as normal during bank holidays with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

| Temporary Closure of the Trehir House Hold Waste Recycling Centre: The House Hold Waste Recycling Centre located at Pandy Lane, Llanbradach will be closed on Tuesday 26th February 2013 from 9am-11am. The closure is due to essential maintenance. Residents wanting to dispose of their waste will be diverted to an alternative site located on the Penallta Industrial Estate in Penybryn, Ystrad Mynach.
