Community Public Convenience Grant Scheme
Caerphilly County Borough Council's Public Convenience Grant Scheme funded by the Welsh Government is a new initiative aimed at increasing the quantity and quality of public conveniences within the county borough.
The scheme encourages local businesses to make their toilet facilities available for free public use without having to make a purchase.
Businesses participating in the scheme should offer facilities that meet acceptable standards of hygiene.
35 businesses throughout the borough now provide a range of facilities including male/female toilets, baby changing facilities and some premises benefit from having disabled access.
Each business displays a green sign on their window to indicate that they participate in the scheme.

It is hoped that the scheme will provide an improved and more accessible public convenience service for residents and visitors of the county borough.
Opening times for each business vary depending on the normal opening hours of the business but this should ensure facilities are available much later in the evenings and on a Sunday.
All community toilets are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
