Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day

This year, Caerphilly County Borough Council's employees helped raised in excess of £5,000 by doing something funny for money in aid of Red Nose Day.

As well as dress down days, staff (including our Chief Executive, Mayor and Deputy Mayor!) took part in a charity abseil and three members of staff, Kieran Gingell and James Hurley from Corporate Finance and Lynda Williams from Social Services ran from Caerphilly County Borough Council's headquarters, Penallta House to Pontllanfraith House... and back!

And Kieran and James even went one step further by dressing up as women for their run!

Staff also took part in a sprout eating competition, and one brave member of staff even shaved off his moustache that he'd had for years!

Comic Relief and Sport Relief help transform the lives of disadvantaged people in the UK and across Africa.

From restoring the sight of children in Africa to giving isolated older people in the UK the support they need to enjoy their lives – the money raised from Comic Relief and Sport Relief can help achieve this, and much more!
