Our Trading Standards Team enforces legislation that controls the safety of a wide range of products such as toys, upholstered furniture, electrical goods, cosmetics and child resistant packaging.
This work is carried out from manufacture to sale and involves checking the product itself along with labelling and instructions.
Inspections are also carried out on premises licenced to store petroleum and explosives to ensure safe storage.
Roadshow events are held throughout the year offering you the opportunity to check the safety of items you use such as electric blankets and baby car seats.
