Penallta House register office can only issue a copy marriage or civil partnership certificate if they hold the register containing the original entry. If not, you must apply to the register office that holds the original record.

Information you will need to provide us with
In order for us to provide you with a copy marriage or civil partnership certificate it is important that you provide us with as accurate information as possible in order for us to locate the entry in the register. Where possible we will need to know:
- Full name of husband/partner 1
- Full name of wife/partner 2
- Maiden name of wife or partner 1/2
- Date of the marriage/civil partnership (approx month/year if the exact date is not known)
- Place of the marriage/civil partnership
How to apply
You can apply for a copy marriage or civil partnership certificate online.
Alternatively, call the register office on 01443 863478 during office hours or email registrars@caerphilly.gov.uk.
Following the submission of your application, a registrar will use the information you have provided to locate the register entry. You will then be contacted by the registrar, and if the search was successful, will advise you on how to proceed with obtaining your certificate.
