Charitable giving

Caerphilly County Borough Council actively supports a wide range of charities, and holds numerous events throughout the year to provide financial support to these charities.

Below are details of recent events held and money raised for various excellent causes:

Operation Santa
Each year, a special Christmas appeal organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council aiming to support over 650 children in the area.
Children in Need
Every year, this is a charity that Caerphilly County Borough Council really takes to its heart. In 2010, our generous staff, teachers and school pupils raised in excess of £20,000 for Children in Need through taking part in a wide variety of activities.
Red Nose Day
Caerphilly County Borough Council staff and local schools sprinted into the Sport Relief spirit on to help raise buckets of cash for Red Nose Day.
The Mayor's Charity
Each year, Caerphilly County Borough Council's Mayor chooses a charity/s to support throughout their time in office.
The Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal
Every year, the UK expresses its unequivocal support for The Royal British Legion's charity work through the Poppy Appeal.
Armed Forces Day
This event show its support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving troops, to service families, and from veterans to cadets.
