A wide range of opportunities for learning and development are available within the workplace. All new employees undertake an induction to help them settle in and understand more about the council.

Throughout your working life at the council, you will be provided with the opportunity to regularly discuss your work, needs and aspirations with your line manager. In addition to this, the annual Performance and Development Review (the PDR) gives employees the opportunity to discuss work objectives and personal development in further detail and enables any learning and development needs to be identified and planned for.
