Local Housing Strategy
The local housing strategy has been developed in consultation with a wide range of stakeholders. It sets out a vision for housing in the county borough and the objectives and target outcomes to realise the vision.
SE Wales Black and Minority Ethnic Housing Strategy
The BME strategy was produced in partnership with three other local authorities and 6 housing associations. The primary purpose of the strategy is to provide a framework for housing providers within the South East Wales region to promote equality and diversity.
Welsh Housing Quality Standard
The Welsh Assembly Government has set a standard for all Council Housing in Wales. This standard is called the Welsh Housing Quality Standard and it has 7 main elements. The Assembly has told all Councils that the Standard has to be met by 2012 and maintained for 30 years after.
Local Housing Market Assessment
This assessment provides an indication of the level of housing need within the county borough and enables us to strategically plan the provision and delivery of housing services.
