Hockey Development If you will find information on local clubs, coaching and player development opportunities in the county borough.

The Hockey Development Team aims to develop girls and boys hockey skills and increase the number of ladies and mens teams in the county borough, this will be achieved by:

  • Establishing a Hockey Forum with colleagues from Rhonda Cynon Taf to share best practice with our local clubs. Members include the WHU, students, development officers, coaches and club representatives.
  • Developing Primary School hockey by setting up a Junior School Hockey League for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.
  • Improving the numbers of qualified hockey coaches and umpires.
  • Forming 2 development teams (Under 13s and Under 15s) consisting of the best players in the county borough to further develop and improve their skills.
