PE AND SCHOOL SPORT
The PE and School Sport project is a partnership scheme between
the Welsh Assembly Government and the Sports Council for Wales.
The aim is to improve standards in PE and school sport. This
is achieved by establishing Development Centres in the county
borough.
A Development Centre is a consortium of partner schools usually
based around a secondary school and it’s feeder primary
schools. They are managed in partnership between the Development
Centre manager and the PE and School Sport Co-ordinator.
The centres aim to raise standards in PE and School Sport
by focussing on areas of identified need, testing new resources,
and sharing results and practices. Ensuring progression from
Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4.

For more information on how your school could get involved
with the PE and School Sport Project please contact
the PE and School Sport Co-ordinator.
