The Children and Young People's Plan 2008-2011 is a document that tells us what servcies are going to be provided to children and young people living in Caerphilly County Borough, and how these servcies are to be improved and delivered over the next 3 years.

It has been developed by the Children and Young People's Partnership (which is a group of senior people from different organisations who by law have formed a partnership that work together as one big team to develop and improve services for children and young people. These people are from the Local Authority (or as you may know it - The Caerphilly County Borough Council which invovles Education services, Social services, Youth services and Family services), along with Health services, the Police, organisations from the voluntary sector etc…

The Partnership worked with many people during 2008, including young people, on developing this plan and the result is a very important (but very long) document that sets out the important things that need to be provided for children and young people.

We want children and young people to be aware of this plan, so a number of children and young people from across the Caerphilly County Borough have worked with the Youth Service and the Children and Young People's Partnership to develop a childrens version of the plan, and a young person's version of the plan.

The Young Person's version of the plan can be downloaded below, and printed copies will also be distributed across the county borough in June 2009 for young people to get hold of in schools, youth clubs and youth projects, libraries and leisure centres.
